You're on a Mac.

The origin of the "bug" is because iOS, when you take a photo, sets the "Orientation" flag in EXIF. Macs respect this. Windows and Linux don't, they expect the raw data in the JPEG to be correct.

A couple more data points: on MacOS X 10.6.8, it's displayed upside down in Camino, Firefox and Safari, but right side up in Preview.

On my iPad, the first time I saw it, it was upside down. Then the next time I checked my reading page on the iPad, it had flipped. It is still upside down on my Mac's browser. IDEK.

For further confusion, I loaded the entry again in Camino this morning, and you're right side up. Whiskey tango foxtrot.

I retrieved the paths from MogileFS, then went onto the filesystem and fixed the image with jhead -autorot IMG.

Until we have a better general solution, I'm not above fixing my own photos. :S

Turns out when you're really nice to people, they are nice to you! I was very nice to the flight attendants and they asked the captain who let me come up there. :)
